The boss: winery manager Ing. Norbert Gutmayer, who joined the winery in 1998, has been overseeing the production process – from the work in the vineyards to the bottling stage – for over twenty years.

After all, success stems not only from the unique climatic conditions, but above all from effective management.

   Quality trumps quantity, so the yield per hectare is deliberately kept low to ensure the best possible development of the grapes.


   As is well known, the quality of wine depends on the vineyard. Maintaining that quality calls for expertise in the wine cellar. Lenz Moser undertakes the vinification of wines in Rohrendorf, a process overseen by chief oenologist Ing. Michael Rethaller.


   The cultivation of red wine in barriques in Austria started as early as 1978. Since 1987, red wines have undergone malolactic fermentation.
